The Chicago Bulls had a busy Monday as they worked out Wendell Carter Jr. and Mikal Bridges at the Advocate Center.

It was a busy Monday for the Chicago Bulls as they had two draft workouts. The first player that the Bulls worked out was Wendell Carter Jr. from Duke University. Carter is 19-years-old and is projected to play the power forward and/or the center position in the NBA.

At Duke, Carter averaged 13.5 points, and 9.1 rebounds per game. He shot 56.1 percent from the field and 41 percent from the three point line. Carter is a very interesting prospect because he isn’t a player that will score 20 points a night, but what you will get from him is very tough defense. He takes pride on defense, and will do anything he can to win.

"“I take a lot of pride in that. A lot of players don’t look at that. They want to score 50, 60 points a game and make all the flashy plays. I just want to win,” Carter said. “To win, you got to do the small things.”"

Wendell Carter Jr. is a player that will fight underneath the basket to give his team second chance opportunities. He’s not shy from making big time shots. He seems like a player that doesn’t really care about individual stats.

Carter just wants to win in the NBA, and will do everything he can to make that happen. Carter said that he has other scheduled workouts with other teams, and that he’s heard that he could be drafted anywhere from the third pick to the 12th pick.

"“I think I can fit in with any team,” Carter said. “The Bulls are a great situation for me, a great young team. I could come in and do what I have to do to help the team win."

Mikal Bridges

The second player that the Bulls worked out was Mikal Bridges from the University of Villanova. Bridges is 21 years old and is projected to play the small forward position in the NBA. At Villanova, Bridges averaged 17.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.

Bridges isn’t a player that will demand the ball, as last year he attempted about 12 shots per game. Bridges sometimes defended all five positions and averaged about two steals per game.

Just like Carter, Bridges takes a lot of pride on defense. Carter and Bridges both play a similar style. Scoring isn’t their main priority, but don’t be fooled as they can get really dangerous on the offensive side.

Carter and Bridges are both unique as they can guard all five positions. Wendell Carter Jr. and Mikal Bridges made a name for themselves on the defensive side, and that will continue in the NBA.

The Chicago Bulls have now hosted three individual workouts with players that are projected to be gone within the first 15 picks. Mo Bamba was the other workout that happened.
