David Nwaba adds a lot to the starting rotation

After the Bulls’ 101-69 loss to the Thunder, Fred Hoiberg called for the team’s “hardest practice of the year”, and it’s yielded better play to this point. Another thing it’s yielded is David Nwaba into the starting rotation.

Shooting 7-for-12 from the floor, Nwaba easily surpassed his season average (6.9), dropping 16 points against Orlando.

That’s not where the stat sheet stopped for Nwaba. He accounted for 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, 1 block and last but not least, 0 turnovers.

This Chicago team is a little loose at times wth the rock. That’s not unexpected for a young team in rebuild-mode, but Nwaba’s poise proves a steady ship.

Since coming to Chicago as an offseason waiver acquisition, Nwaba’s energy continues to provide some electricity. Last night, Nwaba was +21 on the plus/minus continuum; that shows you’ve got a little lightning up your sleeve when you’re on the floor.
