MW: I want to like Fred Hoiberg as “the guy” in Chicago. I think he’s a good man that knows and understands the game of basketball. But for me, I just don’t see the same respect coming from guys towards him that you see with guys like Stevens, Popovich, Spoelstra and Kerr. Maybe that’s too much to ask, but I just don’t see it.

OK, guys … how many wins will the Bulls have this season?

DG: The Bulls will win around 13 games this season.

DB: 21.

CB: I’m going to throw this team in the 20-25 win column. These guys are going to work their tails off, and that effort is going to win them most of their games, AND they’ve finally joined the rest of the league in jacking up 3s. And in the preseason at least, they’re hitting a decent percentage of those shots.

WL: Either way, it’s going to be a disturbingly low amount. Vegas Insider has the over/under at 22.5 wins, which is pretty fair, all things considered. I’m worried that GarPax keeps Robin Lopez and the Bulls stumble into maybe 26 wins, but realistically I’m feeling a 20-62 season.

NN: I’m gonna go with 19 wins. I know 19 is a really, really low number, especially considering how bad some of the Eastern teams will be this year, but I just do not see this roster translating to wins. The defense and the rebounding looks like it will be abysmal, and based on the offensive sets we saw run in preseason… yikes.

MO: It’s sad that 24 seems like an optimistic pick, but I’ll go with 24. This team isn’t very good, but neither is the Eastern Conference. Some nights, the Bulls might accidentally win. They have a lot of guys that have something to prove, or are playing for future contracts, so they’re going to play hard.

MP: 22 wins. Do I really need to elaborate? We’re going to suck. Hard. I think everyone’s in agreement on this one.

DC: When this question was initially thrown out there, I think I said 24 wins. That means they’d have to beat their Vegas numbers and betting against the house is always a bad idea. However, Gar Forman thinks the bad ideas of today are the brilliant ideas of tomorrow. Gar and Michael Beasley, using 11 percent of their brains. Where I believe they can get under is a trade of Robin Lopez and Nikola Mirotic, but they’ll have to move both if they want to lock up the worst record. I feel like RoLo, Niko, and LaVine could easily combine for a few too many wins in March-April. Hooray! I can’t wait for the dread.
