As ESPN’s Zach Lowe noted earlier this week in his annual League Pass Rankings, no fan base in the NBA hates their organization with the venom that Chicago Bulls fans do. That’s why their reactions to a report surrounding Gar Forman was perfection.
There are few rivalries in the world that can truly explain what a “rivalry” is. Michigan vs. Ohio State is one. Duke vs. North Carolina is another. Barcelona vs. Real Madrid is a war every time for “El Clasico”. But, Gar Forman vs. Chicago Bulls fans is truly one of a kind.
It’s mostly because Forman is widely known as being one of the worst general managers in the NBA today and fans want him burned at the stake like he’s practicing witchcraft.
That’s why the fans reacting to a report that Forman’s in talks for a new contract extension with the Bulls is so hilarious and proper.
According to the Bernstein & Goff Show on 670 The Score in Chicago, the Bulls and Gar Forman are in discussions for Forman to remain with the Bulls even longer as general manager. If you thought things were really changing, Bulls fans … I’m sorry. It doesn’t look like they are.
Chicago #Bulls sources tell the show that the team and GM Gar Forman are continuing discussions on a contract extension.

Here’s where it gets good though, folks. The reactions to the report from the show are easily the best part of this whole thing and you need to see some of them.
You can never go wrong with the reaction from Michael Scott in The Office he finds out Toby is back, Alex.
The faces are what make this priceless. I laughed at this one for a good couple of minutes.

Why? Because Bulls, Joel. Because Bulls. I wish I had a better answer, but I don’t. I’m really sorry.

Mike looks like he just got done either watching Wolf of Wall Street or telling the Bulls ticket office that he’s cancelling his season tickets this year.

That’s what I said if we’re being honest.

Same, Rudy. Same.

Unfortunately, it’s probably true, Mario.
Ladies and gentlemen, a live look at the Bulls’ decision-making over the last decade.

Dean’s not a fan, guys … and neither is Jack.
Next: Bulls had deal done with Milos Teodosic before Jimmy Butler trade
There’s been no furthering reporting on whether or not the Bulls do plan to give Forman an extension (and the initial report may not even be true), but it’s clear that Bulls fans don’t want him back or around any longer.
