Things to note

  • There’s still plenty for the Bulls to address with their roster. Is Dwyane Wade going to stay with the Bulls for much longer? There have been reports all over the place about whether or not the three-time champion will seek a buyout from the Bulls of his contract. As of this past week, John Paxson stated that Wade has not personally sat down and discussed a potential buyout with the Bulls front office and that Bulls general manager Gar Forman has spoke with Wade’s representatives a few times.
  • What about Nikola Mirotic? Is he out the door or are the Bulls going to at least keep him for one more season? Paxson did state at the press conference to introduce Doug Collins this past Tuesday that the qualifying offer is still on the table for Mirotic if he wants it this season. Neither side is giving any ground in this tug-o-war of a contract situation and it could be Mirotic who suffers the most because of it.
  • Zach LaVine has already been ruled out for the start of the season with his knee rehab, but when will he be 100 percent and ready to make his Bulls debut?
  • Cameron Payne had his third foot surgery as a pro this month, so the starting point guard battle will likely come down to Kris Dunn against Jerian Grant in training camp.
