According to the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson, Chicago Bulls guard Dwyane Wade considers Miami and Los Angeles “appealing destinations” if he’s bought out by the Bulls this season.

One of the bigger headlines for the Chicago Bulls heading into the 2017-18 season is where Dwyane Wade is going to start and finish the year.

With the Bulls officially in full-on rebuild mode, the 35-year-old veteran really has no place in Chicago other than the fact that it’s basically his hometown.

There’s already been rumors that Wade’s kids are back and enrolled in schools down in South Florida and now the latest report from the Miami Herald links Wade once more to a potential move back “home” with the Miami Heat.

Here’s Barry Jackson from the Miami Herald on what Wade could be thinking for his next move.

"Though ESPN reported that LeBron James’ camp expects Dwyane Wade to end up with Cleveland if he reaches a buyout with the Bulls, a Wade associate has been telling people that Miami and Los Angeles are also appealing destinations for Wade."

If that’s really the case for Wade, that gives him three options based off the cities alone: a return to the Heat, the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers.

Jackson also added these bits:

"Chicago media has reported recently that no Bulls buyout talks have happened yet with Wade, and it’s unclear when they will happen. We would never profess to know what Wade is thinking; only Wade – for whom we have great respect – and those closest to him know that.So we’re not attempting to mind-read Wade. But the person who mentioned Miami and L.A. to me was the same person who first alerted me to my scoop a few years ago that Wade’s negotiations with the Heat were not going well – the first time that information ever surfaced (and a year later, the sides divorced)."

All three teams could be appealing to Wade. The Heat are the team that drafted Wade and where he won three NBA titles over 13 seasons. The Lakers have become one of the more intriguing destinations because of the new regime in place with Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka, plus the endless Paul George/LeBron James/Russell Westbrook rumors.

The Clippers could be in play despite the departure of Chris Paul this offseason for Wade if George, James or both land with the other team in Los Angeles.

Next: According to a report from the Chicago Sun-Times, the Bulls don't think Cameron Payne is an NBA player

For now, it’s just some early September rumors.

But, if the buyout talks do actually commence with Wade and the Bulls front office at some point, this conversation will definitely be reopened.
