2. Derrick Rose returns to Chicago again, but with a new team

It’s always a big deal when Derrick Rose is in Chicago. Whether you’re still a believer in Rose or you’re not, Rose remains one of the city’s big stars dating back to his days as a high school superstar at Simeon Academy and as the youngest NBA MVP in league history back in the 2010-11 season when the Bulls made the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 1998.

This time around, Rose won’t be donning the colors of the New York Knicks. He’ll be rocking the wine and gold of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Yes, Derrick Rose and LeBron James are teammates and they’ll be coming to Chicago on Dec. 4, although with Bulls legend Jose Calderon.

It’s really strange to think that the man the Bulls couldn’t get past with Rose on the floor in the playoffs is the man Rose is attempting to win a championship with six years later. If you would’ve told the 2011 version of yourself that Derrick Rose would have an infamous downfall due to horrific luck with injuries and would be a teammates of the biggest enemy in Chicago sports not named Aaron Rodgers six years later, the past self would probably laugh right in your face, right?

Still, you’re likely to see a ton of support for Rose from Bulls fans in what will likely be a sold-out United Center for the second official meeting of the season between the Bulls and Cavaliers.

(They meet for the first time in Cleveland on Oct. 24.)
