New Chicago Bulls wings Zach LaVine and David Nwaba both received their official NBA 2K18 ratings for the 2017-18 season. It’s safe to say LaVine’s got some gripes with his rating.
Before the 2017-18 NBA schedule was released on Monday evening, two of the Chicago Bulls’ newest faces, Zach LaVine and David Nwaba, both received their new player ratings for the upcoming NBA 2K18 video game from 2K Sports.
Nwaba, who was acquired over the summer after the SummerBulls bowed out of the Las Vegas Summer League in disappointing fashion compared to last summer, received a rating of 71.
As for LaVine, his overall rating of 80 wasn’t too bad, but the two-time dunk champion didn’t think it was high enough for a player of his caliber. He took to Twitter to discuss it.
Here’s a look at both players in the game, which is slated to release officially on Sept. 19. You can pre-order the game and start playing as soon as Sept. 15, which comes with some benefits within the game in the form of virtual currency, MyTeam packs, etc. “The Prelude”, a mode within the game that became popular last year, will be available to gamers on Sept. 9 across all platforms.

LaVine isn’t the only player to have a beef with his player rating for the game. The ratings move up and down throughout the actual NBA season, but with LaVine’s knee injury that held him out for the final few months of the season, his rating wasn’t going to be as high as he would’ve hoped.
A side note from these pair of screenshots: the new Bulls Nike uniforms look sharp. There’s no jersey sponsor as of now, but the jerseys look crisp with the subtle changes.
