The Chicago Bulls may not have successfully defended their Las Vegas Summer League title, but we’re back with a new edition of Chicago Bulls Blurbs, so everything’s not a disaster like the Bulls appear to be.

The summer version of the Chicago Bulls last year was the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls.

The summer version of the Chicago Bulls this year was the equivalent of ordering a Big Mac when the Bulls score 100+ points in a win at home and getting home to finding a Filet-o-Fish sandwich in your bag. Yeah, it could’ve been worse, but it’s not what you wanted to see.

In the five games the SummerBulls played in, there wasn’t any real progress shown and that was partly due to Kris Dunn and Cameron Payne each having family matters to attend to during the action. Lauri Markkanen showed mini flashes of his potential, but he was an overall minus for the time in Las Vegas.

Now that the summer is basically in the books for the Bulls, let’s take a look at some of the best Bulls-related content around the internet from this week, starting with one of the most questionable moves the Bulls made this summer.

The Bulls didn’t trade Jordan Bell. What they did was actually worse. – (@BullsBlogger)

One of personal favorite things when it comes to the Bulls is where our friend, Your Friendly Bulls Blogger, uses SB Nation’s Blog a Bull as a platform to call out the Bulls’ management team on their shenanigans. YFBB did just that with his latest about the Bulls trading away the 38th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, which turned out to be Oregon’s Jordan Bell. That’s already appearing to look like a mistake, as Bell looked like one of the best players in the Las Vegas Summer League for the defending champion Golden State Warriors. But, it’s not just trading Bell. It’s the concept of a rebuilding team trading away a pick.

A conversation with a Wolves fan on Butler, Thibs (and our new favorite team?) – (@Tyler_Pleiss)

More like the Chicago TimberBulls, amirite? In case you’ve been watching baseball since the Bulls’ season was ended in the first round of the playoffs, Jimmy Butler, Taj Gibson, Jamal Crawford and Tom Thibodeau are all employed by the Minnesota Timberwolves. Tyler Pleiss, one of our other colleagues at SB Nation’s Blog a Bull, spoke with Josh Clement, a contributor at SB Nation’s Wolves blog: Canius Hoopus. The duo talked about the Butler trade and much more.

#FireGarPax: The people’s billboard is nice, but change is still far away – (@kattmerner)

It’s one thing to put up a hilarious billboard. It’s another thing to not give fans a reason to want you terminated from your job. There’s little optimism that Gar Forman and John Paxson can actually rebuild the Chicago Bulls back into a yearly contender. And, that’s the problem. Not only will things probably not change on the court, they probably won’t change in the suites above the court in the United Center either. At least not anytime soon.

Luka Doncic Might Be the Best European NBA Prospect of the 21st Century – (@JonathanTjarks)

Let’s just address it now so everyone knows: the Chicago Bulls are going to be a bad basketball team next season. Seriously. If this team wins more than 30 games, it’ll be a legitimate shocker. Of course, it’s the Bulls, so they probably botch a tank job and make the playoffs at 35-47 somehow. But, if they do become one of the league’s worst teams like their current roster projects them to be, Luka Doncic is definitely a prospect to keep your eyes on as the 2018 NBA Draft process draws closer next year. If you thought the Kristaps Porzingis hype was something, wait until you read about Doncic’s potential from The Ringer’s Jonathan Tjarks.

From one of our own: Former Chicago Bulls of the past: Where are they now? – (@niendorf21)

Our own Nicholas Niendorf took the time this week to see what some of the Chicago Bulls of the past are up to in the current day. If you were wondering how Carlos Boozer or Nate Robinson was doing, you’re in luck. (This is also something that will interest you too, Eddy Curry fans.)
