No. 10: October 27, Bulls win season opener vs. Boston

After an interesting offseason where the Bulls brought in Dwyane Wade and Rajon Rondo to pair with All-Star Jimmy Butler, many basketball fans were curious to see how the “Three Alphas” would co-exist. With the season opener being at home against a team like Boston, there was no better way to find out the answers to the questions fans had during the offseason.

Wade (22 points) and Butler (24 points) balanced each other out nicely. Rondo (4 points) only made one field goal, but contributed with nine assists and six rebounds to make his presence known.

Surely, Bulls fans liked what they saw from Wade, the 35-year-old veteran, who seemed to be out to prove the naysayers wrong. “Father Prime” not only scored 22 points (on 7-of-18 shooting from the field) but he also shot 4-of-6 on 3-point attempts; the exact area experts predicted the Bulls to struggle in.

Those struggles would eventually surface, as the Bulls were a horrendous 3-point shooting team on the season, but for the season opener, they looked like they might be up to league standards.

After a great game to start the season, Bulls fans were hopeful for what may be to come.
