Before the Chicago Bulls open their summer slate of games on Saturday afternoon, let’s take a look at some of the big wins from last year’s Bulls bunch.
The Chicago Bulls had an interesting season that started with a spark of hope when they signed a future Hall of Famer in Dwyane Wade, but ended up being plagued with great wins, terrible losses, big trades, drama in the locker room and rumors surrounding moving on from the star player in Jimmy Butler, head coach and even the front office.
We know now that Butler has been traded, the player in the hub of the locker room drama will be exploring free agency and will not be back in Rajon Rondo and the head coach and front office are still around. At least for now.
The Bulls finished the season at 41-41 and ended up making the playoffs as the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference and had a matchup with another historic franchise: the top-seeded Boston Celtics.
The Bulls managed to give the Celtics quite a scare as they stole the first two games on the road to jump out to a 2-0 lead going back home. But, after a Rondo thumb injury sidelined the starting point guard, the Bulls were not able to hang on.
So, let’s look at the glass of this season as half-full, and take a glance back at 10 of the best wins of the 2016-17 season that led the Bulls to the playoffs.
