Cristiano Felicio

Cristiano Felicio can provide great value as a backup center for the Bulls during the early rebuilding stages.

The bulls only have one center on the roster in Lopez. Unless Fred Hoiberg plans on taking small-ball to the next level and play all-guard lineups, the Bulls need another center. Felicio has been underrated for much of his time in Chicago, which could help to keep his cost down. Felicio is a solid backup, works hard on defense, and has shown flashes of a little 3-point range in his offensive game.

Seriously, his per-36 minute numbers are great for a guy that doesn’t play a whole lot, with averages of 11.1 points, 10.9 rebounds and 0.8 rebounds. If the Bulls decide to flip Robin Lopez, Felicio could easily slide into the starting slot. At 24 years old, he fits the Bulls youth movement.

Having only played in 97 NBA games, there’s a good chance he can continue to improve. Felicio fills a need, is familiar with the system and coaching staff and he could be on a great contract.

Not to mention, he has upside and improvement potential. It looks like a no brainer, but with this front office, there’s no sure thing.
