Will Anthony Morrow stay with the Chicago Bulls?

Anthony Morrow

Too many guards!

The Bulls have a plethora of guards.

There’s way too many to possibly find minutes for all of them, which is a problem when your focus should be developing young players. Chicago already has six guards singed for the 2017-18 season. That’s not counting Paul Zipser or Denzel Valentine, who have both spent time at shooting guard in the past.

With all the young guys on the roster and veterans like Robin Lopez and Dwyane Wade, Morrow just becomes a redundancy. Besides the fact there’s no minutes for him due to the log jam of young players already on the roster, Morrow is well past his prime.

At 31, Morrow is on the downward slope of his career. While he could still fill a role as shooter coming of the bench, he shouldn’t be playing that role in Chicago.
