Pippen Ain’t Easy roundtable: Where do the Chicago Bulls go from here?
MW: Oh, one more question, guys. How many games do the 2017-18 Chicago Bulls win this season?
DB: 23.
DC: I love this question. Tom Haberstroh of ESPN had them as what, a 10-win team without Butler last year? They definitely win more than 10 games, but the days of 40+ wins are, for now, a thing of the past. They might break 30, but I would honestly hope they drop further. I’ll go ahead and put them at 29.
BH: 25.
IK: With free agency not even starting for a few days, it’s too early to tell how many games the Bulls will win next year. If i’d wager a guess, I’d say they’d be a bottom 5 team and no more than 30 wins. Come and ask the same question again July 15th.
WL: If they can clear Wade and Rondo, we’re looking at about 22, but with the veterans, we’re looking at roughly 30-35. However, if Wade and Rondo stay, we’re looking at something of the Knicks puke-a-thon we were subjected to all of last season with Rose and Melo. That, for some reason, seems to be more of the GarPax methodology.
MP: The Chicago Bulls will win 27 games in the 2017-18 season, ultimately giving them the fourth pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.
Next: SummerBulls update: Bulls add three in Walker, Brimah and Blakeney
RP: Wins and losses are social constructs. What really constitutes a victory? Could it be substantial playing time for Jerian Grant? Could it mean playing Nikola Mirotic at his natural position? Could it mean firing Paxson and Forman? 25 wins, tops.
