So, in conclusion…
We probably can assume what’s, you know … actually going to happen, correct?
Rondo will be brought back, Wade will opt-in because the asking price is high for Butler and the Celtics (or anyone else) doesn’t want to pay it.
2017-18 appears to look the same as 2016-17, doesn’t it?
The second roster with a boatload of cap space and future picks is a pipe dream that I would shoot for as a general manager. Jimmy Butler is a fantastic basketball player, but if I can get a ton for him toward the future of the franchise, that’s a move that might be too good to pass up.
It gets tricky with the player option that Wade can accept or decline. That’s a lot of money on the books for a two-guard way past his prime and in the twilight of his career.

There’s a ton of scenarios that can be drawn up. We didn’t even get into the coaching staff. Letting Fred Hoiberg go could even be an option worth talking about. There’s so much that could be talked about when it comes to the Bulls over this summer, but the status quo will likely be the same.
