Edrice “Bam” Adebayo, C, Kentucky

Bam Adebayo is one of the better inside presences in this draft.

He hit the glass, getting eight rebounds per game and also averaged 1.5 blocks per game as a defensive big man. He averaged 13 points per game and showed a great inside defensive tenacity. He could turn into a slightly smaller version of a DeAndre Jordan if somehow everything clicks.

But, Adebayo doesn’t really fit the Bulls at 16. First off, they need a guy who can at least shoot in the mid-range, but Adebayo can’t shoot outside the paint. There also might be better down-low players than Adebayo at this juncture. Plus, the Bulls are stacked at the center position, as they seem committed to Robin Lopez and appear to want to bring back Cristiano Felicio.

Adebayo also is somewhat raw and needs some development to his game before he plays an impactful role, and as I’ve already mentioned, I think GarPax will try to find a player who can make an immediate impact. Adebayo won’t do that.

I think Adebayo will be a solid player, but it appears he won’t be calling Chicago home.
