Harry Giles, PF/C, Duke
Harry Giles could’ve been a top-5 selection.

He was part of a top-ranked recruiting class in the country featuring the top two recruits in the country: Giles himself and Jayson Tatum. Duke was expected to do great things and win a national title. Then, injuries unfortunately happened.
Well, injuries happened earlier. Giles tore his left ACL, MCL and meniscus in 2013, then partially tore his right ACL in 2015. He had knee surgery in October of 2016 and didn’t make his college basketball debut until December. He finished the year averaging 3.9 points per game and playing 11 minutes per game in 26 games.
Giles is still going to be selected in the middle of the first frame, as he is a great player who would’ve been a top pick had it not been for injuries.
But, it’s hard imagining him in a Bulls uniform. Sure, GarPax could do that thing and say he was the best player available at the time.
But as it appears, Nikola Mirotic will likely stay in Chicago. Power forward is not a need at all in that case and I doubt anybody wants another player with knee problems. It’d be even worse picking Giles since his knee issues are well known.
Giles may turn into a great pro, but it likely won’t be in red, white and black.
