The Golden State Warriors are the 2017 NBA Champions. The Chicago Bulls are less than a week from two new faces on their roster. Here’s this week’s edition of Chicago Bulls Blurbs.

So, according to the statistics from this past regular season in the NBA, the Chicago Bulls are the best team in the Association. How so? They went 5-1 against the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors this season, including a 4-0 mark against the Cavs.

Obviously, that’s not the case, but the numbers don’t lie.

Now that the 2017 NBA Finals are completed and in the books, everyone can look ahead this upcoming week’s NBA Draft in Brooklyn. The Bulls, who will come into the draft with the 16th and 38th overall picks this coming Thursday, will look to add two fresh faces to the organization, but who will they be?

In this week’s edition of Chicago Bulls Blurbs, we’ll take a look at some draft stuff, some Finals stuff and we’ll take a glance into what the current Bulls are into before some of them will head to Las Vegas to defend the prestigious Summer League title the SummerBulls won last July.

Donovan Mitchell could be ideal 3-and-D wing if available for Bulls – (@highkin)

There’s a good chance that he won’t be available to the Bulls (unless they trade up), but Louisville guard Donovan Mitchell is opening eyes all over the draft board and could be a contender to sneak inside of the top 10 selections on draft night. The Athletic Chicago‘s Sean Highkin dove into what makes Mitchell such a good fit for the Bulls. He’s a guy that could come in right away and contribute with his length and athleticism defensively.

Don’t be so sure the Bulls will keep their restricted free agents – (@BullsBlogger)

Although I personally think that the Bulls will keep Nikola Mirotic in Chicago this summer, our friend YFBB from SB Nation‘s Blog a Bull is a bit more hesitant than I am about the Bulls keeping Mirotic and Cristiano Felicio for that matter also. This was an interesting read with some valid points. Don’t be shocked if the Bulls do change their minds and let one of them or both walk in free agency. It could happen.

Fool’s Good: 2017 NBA Free Agents Who Are Not Worth the Risk – (@danfavale)

Good? Or gold? I’m not sure, but Dan Favale’s piece at Bleacher Report on free agents that aren’t worth the risk this summer feature not one, but two familiar faces to Bulls fans these days. One of them is former Bulls point guard Derrick Rose, but a more relevant topic to the Bulls is Nikola Mirotic. It once again comes back to the point of Mirotic and his *restricted* (that’s key to remember) free agency. Are the Bulls going to match any offer for his services?

From us: NBA Summer League schedule released, Bulls open title defense on July 8

In case you missed it on Thursday, the NBA released the schedule for the Las Vegas Summer League this July and the Bulls have their schedule for the first three games out in Vegas after the draft where Cameron Payne, Denzel Valentine, Paul Zipser and the two new rookies are expected to be out there playing, according to The Athletic Chicago‘s Sean Highkin.

What are the Bulls up to these days?

Well, Dwyane Wade is doing fashion things, which … I’m not sure taking fashion advice from him is the most ideal thing in the world, but to each his own. (He also doesn’t know if he wants to accept his $23.8 million player option for next season with 11 days left either.)

The young Bulls are putting in some work this week together.

CONFIRMED: Paul Zipser > Cristiano Ronaldo. Don’t @ us.

The 2017 NBA Finals: The Warriors finish off the Cavaliers to win their second title in the last three seasons

Riding the back of Kevin Durant and his 39-point performance in Game 5 this past Monday to win their second title in three seasons over LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Durant won his first championship in his first season in Oakland, along with winning NBA Finals MVP in the process.

From FanSided‘s Blue Man Hoop: Draymond Green has become one of, if not, the most vocal player in the NBA today. After getting some retribution on the Cavaliers for last year’s loss in the 2016 NBA Finals, Green fired back with some fantastic shade on a T-shirt during the Warriors’ victory parade on Thursday.

Next: Mark Wahlberg, Hollywood actor and friend of Jimmy Butler, thinks his Boston Celtics should trade for either Butler or Paul George

From FanSided‘s King James Gospel: Jimmy Butler is one of the hot commodities in trade rumors and our network’s Cavs blog came up with a few ideas that could land Butler in Cleveland to help LeBron try and overcome the high-powered Warriors next season.
