Will Chicago topple another legit playoff team?

When you first look at this game, it’s easy to say the Bulls are going to lose.

All U Can Heat

  • Grade The Trade: Bucks add two-time All-Star in a deal with rivaling Bulls Behind the Buck Pass
  • 4 Teams that need to trade for Hawks' Trae Young immediately Soaring Down South
  • 3 teams who blew a golden opportunity by not signing Christian Wood FanSided
  • NBA rumors: Trae Young trade buzz, Andre Drummond is a comedian, Wemby and KAT team up FanSided
  • These NBA stars might switch teams sooner rather than later All U Can Heat
  • Actually, it’s easy to say that looking about just any game.

But, definitely this one because the Memphis Grizzlies are actually good at basketball.

But then you would be forgetting about one of the trademarks of mediocre Chicago Bulls teams: they beat teams they have no business beating. The Bulls are 15-16 against teams with a record of .500 or better this season, a respectable mark.

Unfortunately, this game isn’t going to be on TNT, or we would all get the treat of watching another #TNTBulls performance..

The last time these two teams played, Chicago defeated Memphis behind a career-high 31 points from Doug McDermott. Obviously, McDermott is gone now. If Mirotic can continue his hot play from Monday’s game, he may be able to provide a similar spark.

The battle at center is where I see Memphis having a distinct advantage. Robin Lopez will be forced to guard Marc Gasol on the perimeter, somewhere he is clearly not comfortable. Without his rim protection and backline defense, the Bulls are much worse off.

Here’s what I predict: mind-boggling substitution patterns from Fred Hoiberg, a return to reality for Rajon Rondo, and another Bulls loss at the United Center.
