1. Who would win a slam dunk contest if it was all Bulls?

Dru Berry: In a different time this would have been Dwyane Wade in a heartbeat. Father Time remains undefeated though, leaving us with a challenge. There’s a dearth of high flyers on this team and ultimately I believe it is a battle between Jimmy Butler and Paul Zipser for this great honor. Now you may be thinking, Zipser?  Maybe it’s the Zipser fever kicking in, but I’m convinced he has a decent shot at taking the cake. Look at this dunk from when he was in Germany. He skies in and throws it down with some authority, and No. 32 knows better than to jump. I’m going to have to put down Butler as my pick to win. He’s thrown down some sick alley-oops over the years and the one over Chris Bosh in 2013 comes to mind.

Hunter Kuffel: My bet is on Jimmy Butler, not really because I think he would be some world-beating dunker, but more because I don’t think anyone else is even remotely viable. After Jimmy, the roster gets pretty grisly in terms of, well, youth and athleticism. Maybe Zipsanity would shock the world? I wouldn’t hold my breath though.

Michael Whitlow: If the Slam Dunk Contest was just the Bulls, it would be quite an awful contest. Nobody on the roster has that jumping-out-of-the-gym ability (heh, “younger and more athletic”…), but if anybody’s going to win, it’s probably going to be Jimmy Butler. Taj Gibson only dunks on people or off a missed shot and Cristiano Felicio has only dunked off of simple screen-and-roll lobs. I do think Felicio would make it fun if he was catching lobs in this contest, but I’m not sure how much creativity he has. Butler’s probably the best leaper on the team, so I’d say he’s the guy that takes home the crown.

Daniel Coughlin: I already wrote a brief post on this during the preseason on the man that is ready to take the title. Doug McDermott unleashed a monster dunk by his standards. It was a lot of fun. Also, a slam dunk is pretty much the only shot on the court that I still have confidence McDermott can make with some level of consistency, so there’s always that.
