Browzilla loves being back home in Chicago

To put a quick disclaimer on this preview, Davis is questionable for Saturday’s game with a hip issue that caused him to miss New Orleans’ previous game with the Brooklyn Nets this week.

However, before the hip injury kept him out, Davis put on an exhibition for the ages at Madison Square Garden earlier in the week. Davis dropped 40 points (on 14-of-22 shooting) on the New York Knicks, along with 18 rebounds and three blocks in a 110-96 victory for the Pelicans.

He may not put up those kinds of numbers against the Bulls on Saturday if he plays, but it would be that shocking if he did. He likes playing against the Bulls, especially in Chicago.

The numbers say so.

Those are some pretty good digits for The Brow. He’s known to put on a show being back home in Chicago.

Plus, the Pelicans need him on the floor. According to NBA.com’s stats site, when Davis is off the floor, the Pelicans’ offensive rating is 97.1; the worst on the roster. The defensive rating is just 0.1 (Jrue Holiday: 106.1) off being the worst on the roster, too.

It’s safe to say Davis’ presence is needed.

If he does play and does something similar to his previous averages, the Bulls could be in line for their fourth straight loss.
