We’re just days, mere hours away from the first Chicago Bulls preseason game so it’s time to get into the over/under numbers for the 2016-17 exhibition games.

It still isn’t sinking in just yet. The Cubs are about to walk into the playoffs with the best record in the league. The White Sox are, well, still a team. The Bears are right in the middle of falling apart. Behind all of this noise, the Bulls are on the verge of kicking off yet another season of Chicago basketball.

You may remember that we already looked at the over/under numbers for the Westgate Las Vegas win projections for the regular season. The Bulls are penciled in at 38.5 wins for this year. We’re not trying to go that deep with it right now.

Honestly, from where the team stands right now, the argument could be made that the Bulls will hit 46 wins this year. It isn’t likely, but the argument could be made. You could also make an extremely convincing argument that even 38.5 is way too high for the mish-mash young (Dwyane Wade) and more athletic (Rajon Rondo) Chicago basketball franchise.

Better to not put the cart before the horse, so we’re going to start with the preseason and see what those over/under numbers look before we go jumping to any conclusions about the ultimate fate of this team in the regular season.
