It’s time! The Windy City Bulls, D-League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls, have officially announced their schedule for the 2016-17 season. This is the inaugural season for the Windy City team. There is a lot of excitement around the D-League squad, here are the five D-League games you can’t miss.
I guess we should run it back and quickly touch on two huge things that stick out like a sore thumb for the D-League little brother to the Chicago team – the roster hasn’t been officially announced and there isn’t a coaching staff in place.
This really isn’t the time or place to dive deep into either of these quandaries, but rest assured we will address those questions in the very near future.

We have no idea who will be on the D-League roster, but it seems like a safe bet that at least some of the players on the Las Vegas Summer League squad will be there. Perhaps, Cristiano Felicio or Spencer Dinwiddie or Jerian Grant ends up doing a bid with the Windy squad. After you check off those players, it seems to be a mystery.
As far as a coach and staff is concerned, we will also get to those options later, but I’m sure there are at least four of five ex-Iowa State staffers working at an Enterprise Rent-A-Car somewhere that Gar Forman can resurrect.
As for the schedule, Windy City will play a total of 48 games. Their schedule starts in mid-November and runs until April 1, 2017. If they give it a good go, they will have a shot at some bonus games in the D-League’s version of an offseason.
For now, we want to pick a highlight game from each month based on what we know about the schedule and calendar. First up, November.
