Katana: Chicago Sky superstar Elena Delle Donne

You didn’t think we’d leave out one of the best basketball players in the world just because she is a woman, did you? Katana cuts through her foes just like Elena Delle Donne cuts up defenses with her amazing shooting accuracy and ability to seemingly score at will.

Delle Donne came into the WNBA with the Chicago Sky in 2013. All she has done since then is dominate, winning Rookie of the Year, earning the right to be an All-Star every season she has been in the league, winning MVP and averaging over 20 points per game for her career.

However, her story didn’t start there. Similarly, Katana didn’t make it to the Suicide Squad because of what she does while on the Squad. She had to become one of the most lethal and skilled swordswomen in the entire world.

From Wikipedia:

"Katana is a highly proficient hand-to-hand combatant and swordswoman, having studied martial arts as a child and later being trained by the samurai Tadashi. From her time with the Outsiders and Batman, she has also developed strong tactical skills."

Let’s break this down. Highly proficient hand-to-hand combatant, check.

Swordswoman, probably.

While Katana studied martial arts as a child and eventually trained with famed samurai Tadashi, Delle Donne was a star baller even in her youth, which she later took to new heights when she led Ursuline Academy to three state championships. Strong tactical skills, of course.

Best part of all of this is that Katana has a sword called Soultaker that, you know, takes souls. There’s more to it, but I didn’t find the rest of it interesting. I was more interested in giving Delle Donne the nickname “Soultaker” going forward.
