Maurice Harkless is a RFA, but the Chicago Bulls could use a young talent like him for cheap.

4. Maurice Harkless

A big reason I’m slotting Harkless here is the praise that’s been heaped upon the restricted free agent Trail Blazer by the one and only Ricky O’Donnell of SB Nation’s Blog a Bull.

Harkless is defensive-minded tweener forward, whom Terry Stotts’ Blazers mainly slotted at the three. He’s just 23 years old, 6’9” and a 215-pounder that figures to only get better as he goes along. Another guy who would actually fit the “younger and more athletic” summer agenda that hasn’t been the actual summer agenda at all, Harkless would be a great Hoiball candidate.

He’s not a particularly good shooter, but you can trust him to finish three feet and in. He could thrive in certain shooting-heavy lineups. In terms of his three-point shooting, he’s averaged over 30 percent just once in his four NBA seasons (that year he actually averaged a quite-legit 38.3 percent. He’s a restricted free agent, but he’s still available and one would think he’d at least command Darrell Arthur money.
