Rajon Rondo is much maligned for all the wrong reasons and Bulls fans might be missing the fact that he and Fred Hoiberg might be a good match. Let’s look at five wrong impressions others have about the new Chicago Bulls starting point guard.
In the 1990’s, when a 34-year-old Dennis Rodman was acquired by the Bulls where they traded fan-fave Will Perdue to the San Antonio Spurs, the Bulls fan community also raised a ruckus about hiring one of the “Bad Boys”.
Rodman was a castoff from the Spurs and was also described as a potential headache and a major chemistry problem because of off-court antics and a one dimensional game.
Look what happened in spite of Rodman’s eccentricities and a single-minded purpose of hoarding 20 rebounds a night: three straight championship rings with Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.
Let’s look at the supposed faults of Rajon Rondo and see why most of them won’t happen in Chicago next year.
