Step 7 – Acceptance and Hope

During this stretch of time, you learn to accept and deal with the reality of the situation the Chicago Bulls face. Acceptance does not necessarily mean instant happiness.

Given the pain and turmoil you have experienced, you may never return to the carefree, untroubled YOU that existed before this tragedy.

But, you will find a way forward.

You will start to look forward and actually plan on watching the Chicago Bulls next season. Eventually, you will be able to think about your Rose without pain.

The sadness might linger, but the wrenching pain will be gone. You will revel in some of the good times to come as a Chicago Bulls fan, and yes, even find joy again in the experience of watching them play (perhaps, you will join me in becoming a New York Knicks fan as well).

Always remembers to keep calm and think what would Derrick Rose do.
