Step 2 – Pain and Guilt
As the shock wears off, it is replaced with the suffering of unbelievable pain.
Although excruciating and almost unbearable, it is important that fans experience the pain fully and not hide it, avoid it or escape from it.
You may have guilty feelings or remorse over things you did or didn’t do when he suited up for the Bulls. Life may feel chaotic and scary during this phase.
Take comfort in knowing Derrick Rose holds no regret, anger or resentment toward the Chicago Bulls organization. He was here, he lived and he amazed us with his ability to get into the paint. Rose won’t suit up as a Chicago Bull next season, but he will play in the Eastern Conference, so we’re bound to cross paths four times each season.
