6 Players the Chicago Bulls Shouldn’t Trade Over the Summer

Justin Holiday

The Chicago Bulls front office literally stole a championship-caliber guard when they traded Kirk Hinrich for Justin Holiday.  Holiday picked up his ring recently from being a member of the Golden State Warriors two seasons ago, where he played as a backup three-and-D point guard.

He plays like his brother, Jrue Holiday: a tough and intense defender and slasher on offense. Holiday developed a consistent three-point shot playing overseas after leaving Oakland. No sane front office will trade away a young and healthy guard (who like Felicio, has a game worth much more than what the Bulls pay him next year) who can play lockdown defense on the likes of Kyrie Irving and lesser guards in the league while scoring well on the other end.

If the Bulls truly gauge what they already have, they might adjust who they draft for and get an intense defensive specialist, instead of settling for any other pick at the 14th spot. Holiday can play backup point guard and shooting guard if the Bulls need him too. He won’t get traded for rookies who need to go through what he did to get as good as he is.
