After 541 games as an NBA player, 63 games as the Chicago Bulls head coach and a five-year stint coaching in the college ranks at Iowa State, Fred Hoiberg did the unthinkable in San Antonio on Thursday night.

Fred Hoiberg got called for his first-ever technical foul late on Thursday night when the Bulls lost to the San Antonio Spurs.

You read that right.

Social media erupted after the Bulls game with Hoiberg becoming a trending topic for many on Twitter. Here are the top 15 reactions to seeing the first-year coach getting charged with a technical foul.

If the Bulls had stopped the game to celebrate the technical foul, fans have to admit: it would’ve been on point.

The Chicago Bulls would fall short in the end, but it sure wouldn’t be for a lack of effort. Both Pau Gasol and Derrick Rose scored 21 points in the Thursday night showdown against the Spurs.

That GIF, though.

I can just imagine the words coming out of Bulls coach’s mouth when he gets charged with the technical.  Fred Hoiberg, a potty mouth?

Come on, let’s be honest.

I guess it’s safe to assume Fred Hoiberg re-ignited the heat that March Madness would bring him while coaching in Iowa.

Bulls fans, Hoiberg is starting to see red.
