26. Scottie Pippen Wins All-Star Game MVP
Scottie Pippen never got enough credit for the way he responded when MJ abruptly retired before the 1993-94 season, but at least the record books can’t take away the man sometimes called Robin’s All-Star game MVP. The Bulls actually had three players represented on the Eastern Conference team, and this was a much better scenario than many in the media predicted would happen at the time.
Pippen took home MVP honors after recording 29 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow teammates definitely deserve credit for setting him up in this game, although all three of them would have probably traded being voted to the All-Star team for winning a title without Jordan. That was never going to happen, though, especially in an Eastern Conference that smelled blood in the water once MJ decided to play baseball for a while.
