27. Derrick Rose’s Epic Game 6 Against Boston, 2009 Eastern Conference Semifinals

Rose was displaying MVP traits far before he was actually made official in that respect. This block of Rajon Rondo in Game 6 of the 2009 Eastern Conference Semifinal was legit as heck, and it showed a glimpse of the player Derrick would become. Chicago fans would probably never have guessed that their hero would be wearing a protective facemask in the future, but that is the world we are living in now.

Rose’s performance against Boston in that entire series was superb, and it is a shame how quickly folks forget what a dominant player Derrick was. It stinks to use the past tense so much with him, but that is the way the cookie crumbles.
