We’ll get to the times where Michael Jordan was the most hated man in Cleveland, Ohio, but Derrick Rose wasn’t exactly one of their favorite people either after Game 3 of the 2015 Eastern Conference Semifinals between the Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers.
There are moments in time where everything basically moves in slow motion and you get caught up in the moment. Derrick Rose’s game-winning shot in Game 3 of the 2015 Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Cleveland Cavaliers was that type of moment.
Rose’s banked-in triple at the horn gave the Bulls a 99-96 win over arch-nemesis LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers and a 2-1 series lead. It was the first time the Bulls had ever won more than a single game in a seven-game series against a James-led team.
For Rose, it felt like four years of struggles and pain went out the window. From three knee tears to inconsistent play throughout the years since becoming the league’s youngest MVP ever, this had to feel like sweet redemption.
