16. Bulls Beat Defending Champs in Four Games
In the 2007 NBA Playoffs, Shaquille O’Neal and Dwyane Wade were looking to defend their title and start Pat Riley‘s second NBA dynasty, but the Bulls had other plans. They swept the Heat in embarrassing fashion, and Riley had to search in the desert until another superstar from Cleveland came to town.
This was an interesting twist that not a lot of folks remember from the rivalry between Miami and Chicago. It doesn’t appear like the two teams will meet again in the playoffs anytime soon, but maybe the Heat will overachieve this year and find themselves in the Eastern Conference Finals or Semifinals against the Bulls. Chicago has their own issues to overcome to get at that point, but they seem like a better bet than the Heat at this moment.
