20. MJ Drops 40 in Nine Straight Games
The above highlights are only one of the nine straight games that Jordan scored over 40, but they are quite impressive. Kobe’s streak definitely pales in comparison to what Michael pulled off. This is when MJ still had the athleticism to dunk over basically anybody in the league. He didn’t have much from the mid-range quite yet, but he relentlessly drove to the rim like a Russell Westbrook before his time.
Jordan was the type of player in the 80’s who would not be denied, and he displayed that quite well in his 47 points against the Knicks. This wouldn’t be the last time that he embarrassed that franchise or Patrick Ewing.
