21. Rose Scores 36 in First Playoff Game

This is when Rose and Noah were really starting to show chemistry. Joakim had a bit less facial hair then, but Derrick was showing great touch from downtown along with a nice sense of when to dish the ball. The Celtics didn’t know what to do with this kid, and it was remarkable what the rookie was able to do in his first taste of playoff action.

As Neil Funk says in the highlights: “Would you know that this is his first game in the playoffs?” Rose finished with 36 points and 11 assists, and it seemed like the Bulls had a young version of Jordan playing PG on their hands. Let’s hope that Derrick has a few more moments like these left up his sleeve.
