The Good:

  • Bobby Portis continues to look like one of, if not, the biggest steal of the 2015 NBA Draft. Portis was probably the best player on the floor on Monday night for the Bulls in 31 minutes of action. Portis scored 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting with 11 rebounds and three blocks.
  • Tony Snell came around and had his best game of the preseason by far on Monday night. Snell scored 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting for 15 points. He did tweak his ankle late (more on that in a few), but it was good to see him play with a little more confidence than the previous three games.
  • Pau Gasol is fun.

Gasol had 14 points on 5-of-11 shooting in 22 minutes of action on Thursday. Whatever this was, that also resulted in another funny missed dunk by Bobby Portis, was an example of what happens when you reach the peak of preseason NBA basketball.
