Subject: Mike Dunleavy
Optimist:
- Dunleavy surprised us all when he stepped into a starting role following the Luol Deng trade. There wasn’t much of a drop off at all as he filled in admirably.
- He can shoot the ball and can even hold his own on defense.
- He showed his true grit in the playoffs and consistently got under the skin of the young Bucks.
- He may be getting older but with his skill set it doesn’t really matter all that much.
- Other teams wanted him, but he chose to stick with the Bulls.
Pessimist:
- Mike Dunleavy has been great for the Bulls, but this back surgery is really going to put a damper on things.
- Getting back into game shape at his age will be tough.
- Also, when he is healthy, he is really just a spot-up shooter.
- He is not athletic enough to guard the quicker wings in the league.
