Subject: Joakim Noah

Optimist:

  • Noah is still a great defender and the heart of this team.
  • Last year he was playing through an injury and was never able to overcome it. He says he feels great now and had one of the best off-season’s of his career physically.
  • He may not be a starter this season, but he will be able to anchor the second unit’s defense and give Gasol plenty of rest.
  • Who knows maybe he will even be able to start with Mirotic, and Gasol could come off the bench.
  • Noah’s passing with four three-point shooters on the floor would be unstoppable.
  • Either way though, Noah keeps this team together and his mentality will get us over the hump.

Pessimist:

  • Noah is getting older and losing that energy he used to always play with.
  • He also doesn’t seem to fit into the offensive direction the Bulls are moving in.
  • The Bulls could trade him while he still has some value around the league.
