5. Rose drops 29 on Boston
During a two-game span that saw him score 61 points in two games against two Eastern Conference playoff teams (Washington and Boston), one of Derrick Rose’s finest performances last season came in a matinee tip-off against the Boston Celtics.
Rose scored 29 points on 12-of-20 shooting, while dishing out 10 assists and grabbing three rebounds in a 119-103 Bulls victory.
Not only did Rose score at an efficient clip (60%), he racked up a plus-minus of +9, and shot 5-of-8(!) from long range.
(Sure, his line against Washington two days prior was just as impressive, but the line in Boston came in a winning effort for the Bulls, so it got the nod.)
Also, it’s safe to say Rose likes playing in Boston.
