Power Forward: Chris McCullough, Syracuse

This past season, Syracuse didn’t do their NBA Draft prospects any favors by being ineligible for the postseason for past issues with the NCAA.

Chris McCullough didn’t help his cause earlier in his life by bouncing around to three different high schools and not playing to his full potential.

But, at just 20 years old and standing at 6’9″, with a 7’3.25″ wingspan, McCullough began his climb back up draft boards, until a dreadful ACL tear during his freshman season under Jim Boeheim.

He’s a project more than prospect at the moment with the knee injury and his body frame (199 lbs.), but it’s easy to see the potential in McCullough’s game.

Think of McCullough in a Taj Gibson-type role if the Bulls took a flyer on him at No. 22 (or into the second round if they find themselves in the midst of draft-night trades).
