Before John Paxson was making headlines as a member of the Chicago Bulls’ front office, he also clinched the Bulls’ three-peat in Game 6 of the 1993 Finals.
Paxson’s wide-open triple with 03.9 left gave the Bulls a 99-98 lead, and the Bulls’ first points that didn’t come from Jordan in the final frame against Phoenix.
Not only did the Bulls become the first team to win three consecutive NBA Championships since the 1964-66 Boston Celtics, they became the first team in the 2-3-2 format era to win three road games in a NBA Finals series.
