6. 72-10 wouldn’t have meant a thing without the ring in 1996
The greatest team in NBA history sealed their crown in Game 6 of the 1996 NBA Finals.
Despite losing two straight to eventual hall-of-famer Gary Payton and the Seattle Supersonics, the Bulls still led 3-2 in the series, and had a chance to clinch at home for the second time in their dominant run.
Neither team shot the ball well in the Bulls’ 87-75 victory, but the Bulls did just enough to win their fourth title, and first since Jordan returned to the game from a stint in minor league baseball towards the end of the 1994-95 season.
The game was played on Father’s Day, which was extremely emotional for Jordan, who lost his father three years prior after being murdered by two men in North Carolina.
Pippen was his usual self, playing 42 minutes, scoring 17 points, grabbing eight rebounds, dishing out five steals and racking up four steals in the win.
