8. Bulls pummel Jazz by 42 in Game 3 of 1998 Finals
In the most lopsided game in NBA Finals history, the Bulls welcomed the Utah Jazz back to Chicago with a 42-point beatdown in Game 3 of the 1998 NBA finals.
Believe it or not, the Bulls only led after the first quarter, 17-14. In the final three quarters however, it was the Bulls going on a 79-40 run.
The Bulls’ “big three” of Jordan, Pippen and Toni Kukoc scored 50 of the Bulls’ 96 points in Game 3, while the Jazz shot an abysmal 21-of-70 (30%) from the floor.
Jazz head coach (and former Bulls star) Jerry Sloan‘s reaction after Game 3 was priceless.
