9. Jordan’s final-second jumper forces OT in Game 3 of the 1991 Finals
After splitting the first two games in Chicago during the 1991 NBA Finals, the Bulls found themselves down 92-90 in the final seconds of Game 3.
With 10.9 seconds left, the Bulls went the length of the floor, and Michael Jordan was the one to bring the ball up.
After getting past Byron Scott and pulling up on the right side of the paint, Lakers center Vlade Divac was primed and waiting for Jordan’s shot attempt.
But, it didn’t matter.
Jordan drained the jumper and tied the game at 92 with 03.4 left in the game. The game would be decided in overtime, where the Bulls outscored the Lakers by eight (12-4), and won, 104-96.
Five Bulls scored in double figures, led by Jordan’s 29, and an impressive showing from Horace Grant, who chipped in 22 points on 9-of-11 shooting and 11 rebounds.
