If fans don’t believe in Hoiberg, at least other general managers in the NBA did. Hoiberg has been offered head coaching jobs by several teams in the league after all of the success he has been enjoying at Iowa State.

It says a lot when a coach is wanted by more than one team, but it says even more when said coach refuses offers until he finds the one that’s perfect for him.

Hoiberg isn’t rushing into this by any means, he has looked at all of his options and prepared himself for what’s to come. He even had a meeting with the Orlando Magic just before he accepted the position with the Bulls.

He may have chosen the Bulls because of his relationship with Gar Forman and the connections he already has from playing with the team, but this job didn’t seriously open up until recently and he has been offered jobs in the league well before things with Thibodeau started going downhill. It was his choice and he chose the Bulls.
