Aaron Brooks:
When Aaron Brooks signed for the Bulls this offseason, it was unsure how much action he would get. He came in as the 3rd string point guard behind Kirk Hinrich and Derrick Rose. With both of them battling injuries this season, he has been given a huge role off the bench for the Bulls. He is averaging 11 points and nearly 3 assists, while playing 20 minutes a game. He always is consistent with his effort, something that cannot be said for the rest of the team this season.
While he struggles defensively sometimes and can be careless with the ball, you can never question his shot making ability or his consistent energy off the bench. He is having an excellent year shooting from behind the arc at 45 percent, something the Bulls have desperately needed. He has tremendous confidence in his abilities and it has helped him immensely this season. It really shouldn’t be a surprise at this point, that another undersized, confident point guard has succeeded under Thibodeau, but it is still remarkable to see. He has a chance to have a better career with the Bulls than the two in front of him on this list, but right now his body of work isn’t as big, so he misses out on a top 2 spot.
