06.) Dallas Mavericks (4th West)
I feel like this pick is going to comeback and bite me because I love this team. The Mavericks are going to limit the minutes of their players this season, but they are certainly talented enough to win the Western Conference. If they can keep Tyson Chandler healthy, then they are going to be a tough team to stop. Monta Ellis, Chandler Parsons, Dirk Nowitzki and Tyson Chandler, with a top-3 NBA Head coach is going to become a tough out in the Western Conference this season. Right now, I’m only concerned with this teams point guard and there is a long season ahead of us for them to make a move.
Question: Do the Mavericks make a push for Rondo?
I’m not sure how’d it work out, but you can nearly guarantee that the Celtics are going to get desperate around the trade deadline. If they do there is a chance that the Mavericks might make off with Rondo for picks and clearing up the Celtics bad contracts. Rondo would be able to be a good fit in Dallas and he’d be able to compete for championships again, which would turn his drive back on.
