Look Pippen Peoples, I watched the game…twice and was amazed at how Derrick Rose looked in this game. It was great watching Rose play out there with the confidence that he had before the injuries. Believe me, it’s fun for EVERYONE when he plays and plays well. He looked aggressive and he looked to embarrass Kyrie Irving on the basketball court. For the most part he did, because the Cavaliers would have easily got a 40 poured all over them if Rose had stayed on the floor. To be totally honest 50 wasn’t out of the question.

However…

The man had no help. I always make it a point to listen to the old school announcers. If I was you Pippen Peoples, if you don’t make it a practice…start. While Derrick Rose was putting on a show, Cleveland Cavaliers announcer Austin Carr stated that when Derrick Rose is scoring the ball the rest of their team will suffer on the offensive end. He noticed that the other Bulls players would lose their rhythm.

Well that happened in the third quarter when Rose sat down. When he did, Kyrie Irving gave Aaron Brooks the business. He posted Brooks up, hit a floater in the lane, knocked down a jumper at the top of the key and pulled up on the break knocking down another three to force a Chicago Bulls timeout. All of this happened in an 11-0 run to push the game to 75-65 in the third quarter.

This run in the third quarter basically illustrates what Pippen Ain’t Easy has stated for months. The Chicago Bulls have to find a balance on the offensive end. The offense has had stalls in ALL of the preseason games. Only in this game, somebody didn’t have an out of body experience (Jimmy Butler comes to mind here) to bail the Bulls out in the fourth quarter.
