23.) Minnesota Timberwolves (12th West)

I wanted to so badly stick the Timberwolves in the playoffs, but that would be completely basis because I may be the biggest Wiggins fanatic on the planet. But in reality, they have absolutely no chance at the post season this year, unless Ricky Rubio can learn how to shoot the three ball consistently. Minnesota has the right young pieces in place: Andrew Wiggins, Zach Levine, Ricky Rubio, Anthony Bennett and Gorgui Deng. But how do they stack up with the rest of the Western Conference? You may be surprised, but this Timberwolves team managed to play a ton of close games last season and if they can figure out a way to close those games out, they could be looking at a 50-win season.

Question: Will Flip Saunders continue to coach the team if the team struggles?

I want to know, what is going to happen when the Timberwolves get off to a bad start. Is Flip Saunders going to continue to coach them or will he hire someone else to rebuild this team from the bench? Ultimately, Flip Saunders has gone down as a solid head coach and once he is in this his resume could take a hit if he doesn’t finish what he started. Flip Saunders has complied a (638-526) record and our last memory of him was the failure in Washington. Maybe that’s why he’s coming back to attempt to turn around Minnesota, but it’ll be interesting to see what happens if they struggle.
